What we collect

Account details: name, phone number (including WhatsApp), password (stored as a hash), and email if you provide one. Phone-only signups use a placeholder email internally so we can identify the account.

Event and booking activity: event name, date, city, guest count, budget, venue or service address, quote requests, messages, bookings, reviews, favorites, and invoices.

Provider listings: business name, description, photos, contact numbers, address, map location, packages, availability, and (if you enable it) tax invoicing details such as NTN/CNIC, STRN, province, and business address. Listings, services, and product items go live when you save them.

How we use it

We use this information to run the marketplace: create accounts, show listings, send inquiries and quotes, keep in-app messages and notifications working, confirm bookings, display reviews, and help providers issue invoices. We also use it to prevent abuse and improve the product. Event Karo does not process card payments in this phase; listings and soft bookings are informational until a booking is confirmed off-platform or in-app.

Who we share it with

Other users see what they need to complete a job. Providers receive your inquiry, booking, and contact details. Clients see public listing information, including WhatsApp or phone numbers the provider chooses to publish.

WhatsApp: if you continue a conversation on WhatsApp, that chat is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy.

FBR: if a provider turns on digital invoicing, invoice and buyer tax fields may be sent to the Federal Board of Revenue to validate and post the invoice.

Infrastructure: we store data with our database host and listing images with object storage (Cloudflare R2). We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie so you stay signed in. The mobile app uses a signed token for the same purpose. These are required for login, not advertising. We do not run third-party analytics pixels on the site today.

Your choices

You can update listing and contact details from your account or provider settings. To correct or delete an account, or to raise a privacy question, contact the platform admin through Help. We may keep records that we need for disputes, invoices, or legal obligations.

Children

Event Karo is for booking event services. It is not directed at children under 18.

We may update this page as the product changes. The date above shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
